We have PCs and Macs in the Library for use by university students and staff at individual workstations. Find a PC allows you to locate and check if any of these are available.
Laptop loans are available from the ground floor lapsafe cabinet in the University library. You do need your Student ID card for this.
Laptops can be borrowed for 3 hours to use in the library. To use the Lapsafe, press borrow on the screen and scan your library card. The Lapsafe will indicate in which cabinet a laptop is available and you are required to scan your card again in the relevant cabinet.
Please return your laptop to Lapsafe and ensure the power cable is plugged in securely. Fines are charged at 50p per hour or part of the hour for late returns.
The laptop will automatically connect to the library wi-fi network and you are required to log on with your usual username and password.
If you close the laptop lid the machine will log off and power down.
All students are allocated print credit at the start of each academic year. Once you've used this credit you can top-up your account online.

Colour and black & white printers are located on every floor of the library. The default setting is for black & white and double sided.
Each printer has the facility to photocopy and scan to email. Photocopying costs the same as printing while scanning is free of charge.
We have a wide format plotter which prints any size up to and including size A0.
