RNIB UK education collection

RNIB Bookshare provides free online access to books from over 1,000 publishers and has more than 936,000 titles available. It has over 3,000 accessible images, which are available in both braille and large print. By using RNIB Bookshare you have access to high quality text-to-speech narration, which can also be accompanied by the highlighted word on screen.

If students have visual impairment (blind and partially sighted), a learning disability (dyslexia, autism, Attention Deficit Disorder) or a physical disability (if it significantly affects use of printed materials) then they qualify for the scheme. English as an additional language does not, however, qualify students for the scheme: Who qualifies? | UK education collection (rnibbookshare.org). If you are registered with Wellbeing and have a PASS plan then you are automatically offered an account by the Library.

If you would to use the RNIB bookshare service please contact our Wellbeing Support Team.
