EndNote Web is a free, web-based version of the EndNote software.
You can add references and create reference lists/bibliographies in a similar way to EndNote Desktop, but EndNote Web does not have all the features of the full EndNote Desktop versions provided by the University.
We recommend using the full version of EndNote Desktop (either X9 or V20) wherever possible, but EndNote Web is an alternative for any occasion when you do not have access to the full EndNote Desktop.
You can create an EndNote Web account from your EndNote Desktop account by doing the following:
After setting up your EndNote account you can then access EndNote Web.
Once you have created your EndNote Web account, you can sync your libraries so a change in one will automatically be reflected in the other.
The first time you sync your library in EndNote Desktop you will be prompted to save a compressed library as a backup. This is highly recommended to ensure your data is saved in case there is a glitch during the sync process.
To run the sync, click the sync icon on the top of the EndNote Desktop page.
The references in your EndNote Web and EndNote desktop libraries should now be synchronized.
