Before joining the university, I taught creative technology skills to primary and secondary school staff and students, in areas such as stop-motion animation and radio and film production. At Lincoln, I have led on the support and development of the range of tools we use everyday for study such as Blackboard, Turnitin and Panopto. My specialism is guiding students in the sciences, social sciences and humanities to use podcasts, films and websites to communicate their work. I’m also passionate about digital certification, holding Microsoft Certified Educator and Microsoft Office Specialist: Expert credentials.
I support students in developing practical digital skills for study and beyond—whether it’s using online tools, managing digital content, or navigating learning platforms. I love seeing how digital skills unlock creativity and independence, and I’m especially interested in how digital literacy supports academic success and employability. I’ve taught in three countries and have coordinated an international exchange programme. I also taught Drama in Australia, so if you ever need a dramatic reading of a presentation… I’ve got you covered!
With over 20 years of experience in digital education, I specialise in enhancing digital learning through innovative tools and creative approaches—helping students succeed through meaningful and future-focused digital experiences. I’m a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert and have showcased tools for Microsoft in London, received recognition for pioneering virtual reality in teaching and am shortlisted for the TechWomen100 Awards.
