The area of Maths and Stats is divided into three sub-areas: 

  • Numeracy and Functional Maths - covering arithmetic and essential maths skills needed for everyday tasks. 
  • Descriptive and Inferential Statistical Analysis - focused on interpreting data to draw conclusions, either about a sample or the population it represents. 
  • Mathematical Skills and Reasoning - aimed at building mathematical knowledge and logical frameworks to solve complex problems.
