Literature reviews & systematic reviews

This toolkit introduces the skills required to write narrative and systematic literature reviews. It explains the main differences between each type of review and provides tips for best practice.

It guides the reader through a procedure for selecting and finding information for narrative reviews and the importance of critical analysis.

For systematic reviews, it guides the reader through the process of selecting a suitable research question, inclusion criteria, advanced Boolean searching and screening using PRISMA. It concludes by pointing the reader towards methods of data extraction and analysis.

This toolkit will introduce you to the information resources and support offered by the library, allowing you to effectively conduct a literature or systematic review.
