  2. If you are not already logged on you will be asked to enter your student email address (studentIDnumber@students.lincoln.ac.uk) and your Blackboard password.

PLEASE NOTE: If the book is provided by Dawsonera it may be available to download for a maximum of 3 days (this depends on individual titles).  MyiLibrary books are available to read online ONLY.

You are limited by the number of pages you can print.

If you are struggling to read an ebook:

  • Please check that you have Adobe Reader installed on your machine.  You can download it for free here.
  • Try an alternative browser e.g. Google Chrome, FireFox or Internet Explorer.

Are all books available electronically?

No, not all books are available electronically; the publisher decides if a textbook will be made available electronically and whether that book can be accessed online or downloaded.

If there is a book on your reading list that is not available electronically it is because the academic responsible for that reading list thinks that it is important.

The Library does try to encourage academics to identify a chapter of the book as this can often be digitised under the Library's Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA) Licence.
