What is the SCONUL Access Scheme and how do I apply?

The SCONUL Access scheme offers students registered at the University of Lincoln access to other higher education libraries.

Most research, part-time, and distance learning students will receive access and borrowing rights through the SCONUL Access scheme.

Online application
To join the scheme:

  • Go to http://www.sconul.ac.uk/sconul-access
  • Select what kind of user you are (Research Student [Band A] or Distance Learner [Band B])
  • Select where you are studying (Lincoln)
  • Select the Library that you would like to access (using either the map or the list of results)
  • From the pop-up screen, click on the 'Apply for access' button
  • Complete the online application form.

You will be sent an email notification to say that your application is being processed and, when it has been approved you will receive an email confirmation.  Please follow the instructions in the email confirmation.
